With such a wide range of lawn mowers available today, purchasing a mower can be a daunting task. We hope the information provided in this article will help you choose the best lawn mower for your lawn.
Before you visit our showroom, you should have a look around your garden and take note of the following:
  • The size of your lawn.
  • Are there any slopes.
  • Are there obstacles like trees, flower beds or ponds.
This information will be useful when you come into the showroom and see the range of mowers.
Lawn Size
The size of your lawn will determine the cutting width you need in a mower.
·      Less than 1/2 acre —A lawn mower with an 18"-21" cutting width would be suitable.
·      1/2 to 3/4 acre —A 21" lawn mower with higher horsepower
·      More than 3/4 acre —A ride-on lawn mower might be more suitable for a lawn of this size. Ride-on lawn mowers have some great advantages. Their bigger deck size cuts down a wider swathe of grass with each pass, and the bigger collecting bags mean less emptying. A ride-on lawn mower will save you time and energy giving you more time to spend enjoying your lawn rather than tending to it.
Push Or Self-Propelled
A push mower is perfect for anyone with a small, level lawn. Also good if you want to get some exercise while you cut your lawn! These versions are relatively cheap and easy to use, but it takes a bit more work to push them.
A self propelled lawn mower moves on its own so you do not have to use effort to push it over the grass. If you have a large and/or sloped lawn a self propelled mower is a good option as it takes minimal effort, plus it has the power to pull itself up the slopes. TWe stock self-propelled models with large rear wheels that make rough or uneven lawns much easier to mow.
Type of Terrain
If you have slopes in your garden, use a self-propelled lawn mower. If your lawn is rough terrain, a high wheel lawn mower will provide easy maneuverability.
Collection Type
·         Rear Bagger
Collects clippings into a grass bag for an immaculate lawn.
·         Side Discharge
Clippings are dispersed back onto the lawn. This method is particularly useful if you need to cut high grass.
·         Mulching
Mulching cuts the grass clippings very finely and the clippings disappear into the lawn fertilizing it. This method of grass cutting requires you to cut less off your grass but to cut it more often, when the weather and grass are dry.
·         3 in 1 Machine
This lawn comes with a collection bag but can also be converted to work as a side discharge or a mulcher mower. A 3-in-1 lawn mower is capable of performing mulching, bagging and side discharge functions.
